Nestled beside the serene waters of the lake, Auberge L'Intermède Du Lac turned out to be a true gem during my recent city break. Our two-night stay was nothing short of delightful, complemented by a cozy room featuring a stunning lake view and all the comforts of home-think air conditioning, fridge, and a lovely coffee machine to kickstart our mornings. The restaurant was a highlight, with an extensive menu that catered as much to the discerning palate as it did to the casual diner. The welcoming staff made the experience feel personal, embodying warmth that made any language barriers disappear-though admittedly, my French could use some work. In the evenings, we enjoyed leisurely meals, watching the sun dip below the horizon, perfecting the art of alfresco dining. Although breakfast didn't take centre stage here, the continental spread we had was simple yet effective-fueling our adventures in Parc national de Frontenac. Surrounded by nature, we had the chance to indulge in activities like canoeing and fishing, all while knowing we had a peaceful haven to return to. If the opportunity arises, I'd certainly revisit Auberge L'Intermède Du Lac, ideally with some fellow adventurers to share in the experience!
